Overview
Richard Sherman sends his wife and son to Maine for the entire summer. Back in New York, he reads where a famous psychologist claims that husbands have affairs after being married for seven years. This fuels his fantasies when he discovers a blonde bombshell has moved into the apartment above his for the summer months. She is only interested in his friendship and air conditioning, but his imagination has her wanting even more from him. He imagines himself in various romantic situations with his upstairs neighbor along with some other women in his life, such as his secretary. Mixed in with his fantasies are paranoid and comical fantasies of his wife finding out about their neighbor. He quickly realizes his family means everything to him.
