A successful black lawyer named Laurel Ayers wants to make a big impact where she works. Unfortunately, Laurel gets frustrated when she does all the work that the higher-ups take credit for. When Laurel reaches the point where she has had enough, she decides to start her own business. She gets a lot clients partly because of a fictional male partner she made up. When Laurel's clients pressure her because they want to meet her fictional partner, things get comically complicated. |
