Jimmy Kilmartin wants nothing more than to leave his criminal past behind him and settle down with his wife, Bev, in Queens. His dreams of a normal life are thrown into chaos when he is forced into taking the wrap for a caper involving stolen cars. Kilmartin finds himself back behind bars, but the District Attorney offers him a chance to shorten his sentence if he will help end the career of Little Junior Brown, a local crime lord. Kilmartin remains in prison as he struggles with the idea of working with the DA. During that time Bev dies and his daughter begins to grow up without knowing her father. He finally agrees to go undercover, which only complicates his life even more.
