When a drunken crane operator accidentally drops and destroys an ancient statue while unloading it from a ship, a dockworker discovers a mysterious jewel that had been encased in the artifact. The man steals the jewel and pawns it. The jewel eventually ends up at an auction house where it is given to appraiser, Alexandra Amberson. Unbeknownst to Alexandra, the ancient gem contained an evil creature called a Djinn. When woken, the Djinn can grant three wishes to the person who woke it. Upon the third wish, the entire race of Djinn will be freed to wreak havoc on Earth. Alexandra accidentally wakes the Djinn, but does not stick around long enough to see him materialize. Leaving a trail of bodies in his wake, the Djinn takes human form in an effort to get closer to Alexandra and trick her into making three wishes. As Alexandra learns more about the Djinn she must resist his offers and find a way to stop him from conquering the Earth. |
