Overview
This movie adaptation of the 1960s TV series with the same name follows the characters of James T. West and Marshall Artemus Gordon as they are commissioned by President Grant to work together on a matter of national security. West, a smooth-talking ladies’ man who likes to shoot first and think later, has a hard time working with Gordon, a methodical, scientifically-minded agent with a love for disguises. Full of wild inventions and gadgetry, the unlikely duo’s adventures in the search for evil lead them to pursue Dr. Arliss Loveless, an ex-Confederate scientist paralyzed from the waist down. Along the way, they pick up the beautiful Rita, who has her own bone to pick with the villain. Can they stop Loveless, who plans to use his ingeniously crafted mechanical forces to destroy the United States unless his demands are met?
