Trailer | Overview Los Angeles is typically plagued by small earthquakes throughout the year. As head of the Emergency Management department, Mike Roark is tasked with the job of determining earthquake epicenters and any damage involved. Unlike other earthquakes, new ground movements are causing storm drains to heat up and burn workers inside. With the unusual scenario, Roark trusts his gut instinct and closes off underground subways running through the city. Bureaucrats are under pressure to keep the city running as usual, so subways start up again and workers return to storm drains as the earthquake fright continues. Roark and his colleagues find magma gasses spewing from the storm drains as lava slowly rises up to the Earth's surface. Roark and city officials must channel this lava away from the city before Los Angeles is burned to the ground forever. |
