Overview
A country boy, Bud Davis, moves to the big city and gets a job at a refinery. He falls in love with Sissy, who also grew up in the country, and the two are soon married. When Bud finds out that Sissy is cheating on him with Wes, a criminal, he is heartbroken. When Mickey Gilley's bar announces a mechanical bull riding contest, Bud enters, hoping to win his wife's affections and save his marriage.
