Overview
Bella Swan trades the dry heat of Arizona for the gray gloom of Forks, Washington when she decides to live with her father. There she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen, whose golden eyes and sultry good looks mesmerize her. She can sense he is not like other boys…his enormous strength, his clannish family, and his changeable moods both frighten and attract her. Eventually she learns his secret: he is a vampire. In his over 80 years living as the undead, he has never met a girl he could truly love, until now, but a human/vampire pairing is dangerous for both of them. Yet all this is set aside when enemy vampires come to Forks, and one of them decides Bella must die.
