Overview
In the tiny town of Perfection, Nevada, nothing much happens in the way of excitement. The town's 14 residents include friends Val McKee and Earl Basset. This area is in an earthquake zone, which is why Rhonda is there to conduct seismology studies. While on their way to another town Val and Earl discover local Edgar's body dangling from an electrical tower. His death is a mystery since he was carrying a rifle. Soon, the cause several unexplained deaths is revealed. Giant worm-like creatures called Graboids are living underneath the town. To survive the remaining townsfolk must figure out a way to kill the creatures. This is a hard task considering they are bigger, faster and deadlier. There is only one sure-fire way to kill them.
