Overview
The Mummy Returns is the second installment of the action-packed trilogy that pits adventurer Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his wife Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) against the evil mummy Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo). The story picks up eight years later when Rick and Evelyn's son, Alex, finds the powerful and ancient Bracelet of Anubis during a desert excavation. The regenerated Imhotep and his minions are also in search of the sacred bracelet. Alex is kidnapped by Imhotep's disciples after the bracelet is inadvertently locked onto his wrist. The O'Connell's must now follow a trail to Thebes to find Alex before the sun rays from the bracelet kill him and awaken the Scorpion King's army.
