Overview
A story of two unlikely best friends and the ups and downs their intermingled families endure. Alice is a Christian, living a simple life while running her downtown diner with the help of her daughter, Pam. Meanwhile, her other daughter, Andrea, is busy climbing the ranks in her corporate position for the Cartwright corporation, led by Charlotte, Alice’s dearest friend. While Charlotte struggles to mold her son, William, into the leader the company needs, he’s more interested in serving himself, both professionally by attempting to oust his mother from the company, and personally, by carrying out an affair with Andrea. Lives crumble when these secrets emerge. Charlotte and Alice will embark on a cross-country road trip that will change their own lives, forever.
