Overview
Ex-rodeo star Sonny Steele is at the end of his career and is running out of options. He agrees to be a spokesman for Ranch cereal, a breakfast product. Dressed up in a suit of lights and on a horse for public appearances, Sonny hates his new life and begins to hit the bottle. When the cereal company decides to drug a $12 million dollar racehorse to make him more malleable at public events, Sonny has had enough. He steals the horse and rides out into to the desert with television journalist, Hallie Martin.
