Overview
This romantic comedy follows two ice skaters as they practice for the 1988 Winter Olympics. Kate Moseley is a talented figure skater who is almost impossible as a partner thanks to her spoiled lifestyle. Doug Dorsey is an above-average hockey player with a fully arrogant attitude. They bump into each other, literally, on the ice before Doug's big game. Doug injures his eye during that game which takes him out of the sport for good. Kate is also injured during her performance, hurting her chances at the gold medal. After four years, Kate gets another chance at Olympic gold but does not have a partner because no one will work with her. Her coach looks up Doug, who has returned home to work at a steel mill. Together, they share a drive to win no matter what.
