Overview
Guy Patterson is invited to join the local band, the Oneders, as a drummer after the managed to lose their last drummer. The band seems on the verge of falling apart due to differences in musical taste, career goals, and even the name of the band. Singer Jimmy views himself as the leader because he also writes the songs, but when Guy turns a ballad into a fast paced popular dance song, the Oneders are picked up by a manager and are renamed the Wonders. The group begins touring with famous names and receiving attention from fans. Jimmy begins distancing himself from girlfriend Faye who travels with them, and as a result, she grows closer to Guy/
