Overview
After two different crimes are committed that have nothing to do with one another, one being the death of a petty thief, the other being the death of the assistant of a Congressman, the reporter known as Cal McAffrey feels as if there is a conspiracy going around. His wisecracking and brash tactics soon land him in the middle of the issue at hand. Having an already rocky past with the congressional representative who lost an assistant, Cal and a rookie writer named Della Frye begin discovering clues. These clues lead to a conspiracy involving assassins, informants, and insiders within the government. However, the journalist soon has to decide if his life is worth the uncovering of the story as it becomes more and more dangerous for him to follow.
