Overview
Though he began merely as Number 5 in a series of military robots designed for the government, an electrical accident shocks life into the mechanoid who later declares himself 'Johnny Five'. With a sense of childlike wonder, Johnny Five escapes the military facility and sets out to explore the world, as baffled as any new life form. When Johnny Five stumbles upon the home of Stephanie Speck, he must convince the animal lover that he is like every other living thing. When his inventors come to fetch him, he and Stephanie try to prove his sentience, but it may be too late, as the military races to recapture him.
