Angela Vidal is a television reporter who has recently been assigned to spend time with a Los Angeles Fire Station. Although it is the night shift and not much is expected to happen, the fire department suddenly gets a call about strange things happening inside of an apartment building in the area. Along with the fire fighters and her assistant, Angela goes to this apartment and hears screams and horrible noises coming from within. They soon discover that a woman inside has been infected with something that resembles rabies. Other people suffering the same sickness soon attack the residents, crew, and reporters within the building. Upon trying to escape they discover that the entire building has been quarantined by the CDC, thus locking them all inside. Those who try to escape are killed on sight, so the survivors attempt to find a way to relay information to the outside world. However, no phones, televisions, or other communication devices work, leaving them literally in the dark with a mysterious disease that is slowly picking them off one by one. |
