Overview
What happens when a country music superstar becomes tired of the road and the glitz that his show has become? He hits the road in search of his roots to the consternation of his business manager who is forced to use a fill in who lip syncs the words at the next concert. With his hair cut off, the singer goes back to where he grew up where he meets a local cowgirl at a dance hall. Another man is jealous and punches his outside leaving the music man unconscious. Feeling sorry for him, the young woman takes him home for the night in order to recover. He feels like a new man here and wants to stay, paying room and board while learning some cowboy methods. A private investigator has been tracking him for the road manager and she tells the woman who has fallen for him that he's married. The misunderstanding leaves the singer feeling very blue and it is not until the final scene that the two are brought back together at the new style show where talent is featured and not just glitz.
