Overview
After agent 009 turns up dead outside the embassy in East Berlin, British MI6 agent James Bond is sent to investigate. Bond follows the trail to an Indian prince working with a Soviet general to expand Soviet influence in Europe. The Soviets are financing this campaign by stealing national treasures and replacing them with fakes, and are aided in stealing and smuggling them by cult leader and circus performer Octopussy. But when Octopussy finds out the ultimate con is to detonate a Soviet nuclear warhead in Europe and blame it on an American malfunction, she switches sides and helps Bond stop the plot.
