Overview
When Jimmy Markum discovers that his teenage daughter has been tragically killed, his life is turned upside down. With his wife Annabeth unable to cope with the loss, and Jimmy himself struggling to come to terms with recent events, he is reunited with old friends at just the right moment. The story ventures from the Markum family to the three friends, Jimmy Markum, Dave Boyle, and Sean Devine. They must recall the horrifying and scarring events of their childhood, when one of them was kidnapped by two men in a limousine, and sexually abused for days, before being returned to the very street he was kidnapped from. Jimmy, Dave and Sean must learn to accept their past, forgive each other, and focus on the present. Otherwise, they will never be able to find out who is responsible for Jimmy's daughter's death.
