Overview
A thief, Philipe, escapes a dungeon and is on the run from the bishop's men. He is almost caught when he is rescued by Captain Navarre. Navarre is wanted by the bishop for absconding with Isabeau, who the bishop wishes to marry, but she does not return the affection. The bishop has placed a curse on the couple; he is a wolf at night and she is a hawk during the day, keeping them apart. Navarre enlists Philipe's help in killing the bishop and removing the curse.
