Overview
In 1959, a group of elementary school children work on a time capsule where they create pictures of how they envision the world in 50 years. Lucinda Wayland, an unusual student who claims to hear voices, writes down an extensive list of numbers. In 2009, astronomer and MIT professor John Koestler visits the school to open the capsule. He reviews the numbers and discovers that they are a code indicating specific dates and details of disasters that have occurred over the prior 50 years. John also makes the startling discovery that three of the dates are all in the immediate future. Therefore, he must do everything in his power to prevent the known disasters from happening.
