The citizens of Los Angeles are forced to accept the Newcomers, an alien race that has come to live among them. Police detective Matthew Sykes is partnered with Newcomer detective George Francisco. The two are on the hunt to find out who killed Sykes former partner. Sykes struggles with his own bigoted feelings towards Newcomers while he and his partner dig deeper into a drug ring that may hold the answer to the murder. Meanwhile Francisco's family and other Newcomers encounter daily bigotry against their kind. Things get more complicated when a seemingly good Newcomer turns out to have a dark side. He makes and supplies a powerful drug that turns his own people into addicts. Humans and Newcomers experience cultural clash while having similar problems. |
