Ralph Jones is an all-American schlub who makes his living as a lounge singer. He is sleazy and unmotivated, and he is the last person that anyone might expect to have a connection to the British royalty. However, after the entire royal family is wiped out in a terribly accident, an intensive look at the genealogy reveals that Ralph is the rightful heir to the throne. Luckily, Ralph doesn't have to undergo this radical transformation from American slob to British king all by himself. He has help from Sir Cedric Charles Willingham, an aristocrat who quickly develops a deep loyalty to Ralph and is eager to see him succeed. Will he be able to adjust quickly enough to meet the demands of his new job?
