The Inspection tells the story of a young gay Black man, determined to make something of his life despite the odds stacked against him. Rejected by his mother, and with few options for his future, he decides to join the Marines, doing whatever it takes to succeed in a system that would cast him aside. Throughout the movie, he is faced with the challenge of proving himself in a system that is not built to accept him. He must find a way to earn the respect and acceptance of his peers and superiors, while struggling to find a place to belong. Along the way, he discovers the power of inner strength and resilience, and the importance of finding self-worth in the face of an oppressive and judgmental society. Despite his struggles, he ultimately finds the courage to pursue his dreams and make something of himself.
