Overview
The protagonist in Section 8, James Cole, is rescued by the President of the United States when his family is killed by militants. He's sent to a secret facility where he undergoes a process called "project vigor." There, he begins to work for an agency that's designed to save people from "alienating events" like world war or natural disaster. Along with other Washington D.C.-based employees of the agency, these individuals fight against threats like chemical weapons and nuclear fallout. Section 8 is a comic book series published by DC Comics in 2004.
