Overview
Near the end of the 14th century, the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire dies, which leads to inevitable infighting among noble lords who seek the throne. A Czech knight and mercenary named Jan Žižka finds himself facing incredible odds against the world's most powerful men. One of these nobles, Henry III of Rosenberg, kills many members of Žižka's family. So, when Žižka is hired to kidnap Rosenberg's fiancee, Katherine, he doesn't resist although he wouldn't normally kidnap a woman. Eventually, Žižka falls in love with Katherine and discovers a terrible secret. He realizes that the only real way to save the Empire is for the people to rise up and fight!
