Overview
Benedetta Carlini is a nun from the nineteenth century whom lived in a town called Pescia in Northern Italy. During her time in Italy she reportedly had a relationship with another nun from within her Convent of the Mother of God. When the Papacy was informed, she was completely stripped of rank and imprisoned for her relationship with another nun which was considered to be a crime. Alongside of her crime, she also reported having visions where Jesus had visited her and informed her of her duty to marry a specific man which had started to shine light into her forbidden relationship.
