In New Orleans, a new drug called Power hits the streets. It has an amazing appeal: It bestows a super power on a user for approximately five minutes.
Since the powers are unique to each user, sometimes the drug destroys the user and anyone near them. Some people abuse Power and commit criminal acts. Some people, such as police officer Frank Shaver, use it to protect themselves and others.
When Frank is fired from his job after using Power in public, he crosses paths with his dealer, a young woman named Robin, and a former soldier, Art, who are trying to track the drug to a man named Biggie.
Art insists that the drug came originally from his daughter, Tracy, who Biggie kidnapped. He asks for Frank's help to find his daughter and stop the distribution of Power before it's used to destroy the world. |
