A female Polish scientist, Marie Sklodowska, believes that she has made incredible discoveries that her male counterparts fail to fully understand.
In Paris in 1893, Marie falls for French scientist Pierre Curie and they eventually marry. As she explores her understanding of the atom while raising a family and exploring scientific studies with Pierre, she attempts to make the scientific community recognize the amazing properties of radioactive elements.
Yet, she struggles to be understood or recognized for her discoveries by her peers as a rare woman in a man's field during a time when women were often considered the lesser of the two sexes.
As time passes, Marie Curie realizes that her work might both save and doom the human race. |
