Overview
After being tortured throughout high school by his gym teacher, John Farley goes off to college and then creates a great life for himself as the best-selling author of motivational books. When he returns home to see his mother, however, he finds that she is dating the coach who made high school miserable for so many students. In fact, the two are going to be celebrating their upcoming wedding on the same day that John celebrates honors for his latest book. Upset about this new arrangement, John works with a few friends to try to get Mr. Woodcock out of his mother's life, but their plans don't always go exactly like they want them to.
