A Mexican detective lost his newborn child to a massacre in the maternity ward. Soon after, the detective and his partner begin an investigation into attacks on both sides of the U.S./Mexican border on young children, possibly sponsored by terrorists. An excommunicated priest brought on to assist with the case points them in a new and potentially even more disturbing direction. Will the detective's personal trauma impede his ability to solve the case? Will the priest's theories prove more than the detectives can or want to handle?
