Trailer | Overview The Democratic National Convention of 1968 was held between August 26th and 29th. The year had already been full of unrest with riots in 100 cities. Martin Luther King Jr and Robert F. Kennedy were both assassinated, and the Vietnam War was a big issue still too. President Lyndon Johnson declared he wouldn't run again, and the Democrats needed a new Presidential candidate. During the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, an anti-Vietnam War riot erupted. After the fact, the government charged seven defendants with multiple charges, including inciting a riot. This is the story of those seven people as they faced their various charges after the uprising that day. |
