Overview
Set in 1825, an Irish convict Clare Carroll works towards freedom from the British Penal colony of Van Diemen's Land. When Lieutenant Hawkins and Sergeant Ruse commit horrific acts of violence against Clare and her family, she is determined to enact revenge by any means necessary. While trekking through the Tasmanian wilderness, she is joined by an Aboriginal tracker named Billy who is also searching for freedom. Together, they bond over mutual trauma, but Clare must ultimately decide if the vengeance she seeks will be worth it.
