Overview
Grad student Adam tries to interview an underground battle rap champion, Behn Grym about the poetic yet violent use of language. Adam soon discovers he has a hidden talent for winning trash talk. When an impromptu battle rap goes viral, Adam finds himself caught up in the sport. Employing his years of frustration and rage at family, school and life, Adam fuels his rhymes with such vitriol that he becomes a superstar. However, his exposure to this culture has striking consequences on Adam's outlook. Adam must find a way to triumph over the hate he brings to his rhymes before that hatred drags him down.
