Overview
When Sonny was younger, he had an amazing life ahead of him: He had a beautiful girlfriend. He was on track to play baseball for the New York Yankees. One night, during a hot-headed confrontation, he accidentally killed a guy. Seventeen years later, Sonny is finally released from prison. When he returns home to the Bronx, he reconnects with his girl. He even finds a job working as a caddie. His former coach, now with the Empires, asks him to mentor one of the players. Sonny lacks confidence in his abilities but decides to take the challenge. When Sonny shows signs of having retained his skills, he learns from the coach that he might be given a second chance to step up to the plate and play professionally.
