Overview
Magical gifts can become a curse when they can't be controlled. Ruth's powers have cursed her with seizures that that cause earthquakes or floods. Because her magic is a danger to those around her, she has chosen to keep her family safe and live her life as a lonely wanderer. Then, when she is hunted by mysterious threats, she runs back to the family she abandoned long ago. Once home, she attempts to mend her broken bond with her mother and the daughter who's never met her. But will those who chase her find her there? And is the bigger threat the power inside her, or can she learn to find the power she needs within herself?
