Overview
In this classic retelling of the Romeo and Juliet tale, the young Maria and Tony meet against the backdrop of two warring factions in the neighborhood. Against all odds and against the wisdom of practically everyone they know, the two fall madly in love. With the Jets and the Sharks at each other's throats, it becomes difficult for the new couple to be together at all.
