Overview
Cobra Kai is an American TV series that premiered on YouTube Red. The series is based on the hit Karate Kid movies, and the movies' two main stars, Ralph Maccio and William Zabka, are reprising their movie roles in the show. The TV show uses the same storyline and characters but takes places 34 years after the last movie ended and we find out that Johnny Lawrence has decided to reopen the acclaimed karate dojo called Cobra Kai. The karate dojo takes in a whole new crow of misfit kids, including a star student named Miguel Diaz. The characters deal with family issues and school bullying and try their best to fight their demons through the art of karate.
