Overview
Angels or Death or guardians take souls to the afterlife to be judged over the course of 49 days during seven trials. The process helps determine where souls should go after they die. Guardians are never supposed to influence the fate of their charges. Three guardian colleagues, Gang-rim, Haewonmak and Lee Deok-choon, help guide the soul of Kim Soo-hong to his trials. Unlike normal reapers, they make a special request. As a result, they're told that his soul can only go through the trials if two of them eliminate a former guardian. While Gang-rim assists Kim Soo-hong, Hawewonmak and Lee Deok-choon seek out the missing guardian. They soon find out that he has knowledge about their lives from before they became guardians and can help them uncover memories from a thousand years ago that might explain the incredible connection between all three guardians.
