Overview
The day before Siren Phillips turns twelve, she discovers that she is not the normal pre-teen girl she thought she was. On her twelfth birthday, Siren will become a mermaid. She only has a limited time to say goodbye to friends and family before she is relegated to a life in the water. To make matters worse, local hunters are actively trying to find and capture her. When Siren teams up with a boy who is new in town she is relieved to have some help - until she discovers that his father is one of the hunters tracking her.
