Overview
The War of the Roses has ended. Yorkist King Richard III has been defeated at Bosworth Field and his successor Henry Tudor, father of the future Henry VIII, has claimed the throne of England. Yet conflict and intrigues continue between the House of Lancaster and the House of York. To heal the rift between these warring factions, the Lancastrian Henry marries Elizabeth of York in an effort to unite the country. Elizabeth finds herself torn between old familial loyalties and her new husband. And, for his part, can Henry trust his queen?
