Overview
A sheltered attorney in New York City, Howard Wakefield only emerges from the attic during the daylight hours when his house is empty, making it seem like he vanished after having a nervous breakdown. As the days turn into months, he keeps an eye on his family and neighbors from the comfort of his own domain. Wakefield slowly begins to enter a state of self-reflection and wonders if he can ever return to his previous, normal life.
