Overview
It is the 17th century in Amsterdam and the city is gripped by the famous tulip mania that almost destroyed the entire country. An artist is commissioned to paint the portrait of a married woman and the two quickly fall in love with one another. They concoct a plan of buying and selling tulip bulbs in order to raise the money they need to escape Amsterdam and the woman's husband. The two must act quickly in their plot in order to make the money and escape before the tulip market inevitably implodes.
