Eddie lives in New York and works as a limo driver. She is also obsessed with and follows the New York Knicks fanatically. The team is currently not doing so well, so “Wild Bill” Burgess who is the new owner decides to stage a gimmick to place an honorary coach in charge of the team. Eddie wins this contest and is then hired on as the coach of the team, which the fans love. She struggles quite a bit to form the team of overpaid players into an actual team that is ready to play in the big leagues. However, Burgess decides that he wants to move the team. This leads Eddie and the team to fight to stay in New York as the team belongs to the fans and the city, not the owner. |
