Overview
After losing a hockey game, five young friends are down about themselves, their circumstances and their families. Each of them lives to skate, and they decide they want to do something amazing. On the coldest day of the year, they decide to skate across Lake Ontario into New York. It's a journey that will test them all, but they are up to the challenge, or so they think. As the day of skating becomes night, the temperatures dip dangerously. The ice cracks, and the boys struggle to encourage each other and reach New York safely. The journey across the ice is 22 miles, but it can feel like forever when the temperatures are low.
