Overview
High school student Nancy Thompson is having horrifyingly violent nightmares of a man with a burned face and razors for fingers. She soon finds that her friends are dreaming of the same crazed killer, but when one of them is brutally murdered in her sleep, Nancy realizes that their dreams might be more of a reality. As the children of Elm Street are victimized one by one, Nancy must fight to stay awake as she learns the identity of the nightmare killer and plots to draw him out of her dreams and into the real world. Can she put an end to his murderous rampage or will she never sleep again?
