Overview
Colin lives the life of a rich playboy, dining on gourmet treats prepared by Nicholas, his personal chef, and hanging out with his best friend Chick. One day, while enjoying another indulgent meal, Chick tells Colin that he's met a girl named Alise who shares his love for an author by the name of Jean-Sol Partre. Colin meets another woman by the name of Chloe at a function. The two embark on a whirlwind romance and marry, only for Chloe to become sick on the honeymoon. She becomes more and more ill, and the relationship between Chick and Alise becomes fraught with turmoil.
