Overview
Dick Tracy is an action-filled comedy based on the comic strip character. The clever detective has his hands full as he attempts to control the out-of-hand criminal activity in the area. Big Boy Caprice, a notorious gangster, wages a war with Lips Manlis, the cunning boss of the city’s underworld. Big Boy and his sidekicks overpower Manlis, and Caprice takes over the crime lord’s nightclub. Big Boy also wins over Breathless Mahoney, the nightclub’s singer. With Caprice managing his own unlawful activities, Tracy goes on a mission to rid the city of these foul villains permanently. Breathless Mahoney attempts to thwart Tracy from his goal and in the process tests the detective’s relationship with his girlfriend, Tess Trueheart.
