Overview
In the midst of a Europe on the brink of profound change and World War I, a love triangle forms between three unlikely people. There is the young suffragette Valentine Wannop, the vindictive wife Sylvia, and the old-fashioned Christopher Tietjens. Christopher leaves behind the adoring Valentine whom he has fallen in love with, his son who he questions whether or not is actually his, and the manipulative and beautiful Sylvia when he goes off to fight in France. Throughout the fighting, Christopher has to decide who he will stay with and live out his life with, forming a love triangle for the ages.
